Steve Fazekas sent out some information on Wednesday about Mary Steussy's sudden passing, so just wanted to follow up with more information. For those of you that didn't know Mary, she played for the Columbus Women's Rugby Club and was very active in merging them with the Scioto Valley Rugby Football Club forming the Scioto Valley Women's Rugby team. She sat in on the Men's Executive Committee Meetings as a liason to her club and was very integral to our club. She threw some parties that were like no other and will not be forgotten. Mary passed away suddenly on Monday, March 10, 2008, in Arlington, VA at the Foreign Languages Institute, affiliated with the United States Department of State. At the time of her unexpected death, she was in the final stages of peparation to deploy to Mauritania in April 2008 as a diplomat with the Foreign Service. The family will be receiving friends on Sunday, March 16, 2008, from 5-8pm at the Schoedinger Northwest Chapel on Zollinger Road. Funeral Service will be held at 1pm. Monday, March 17, 2008 at King Avenue United Method Church, 299 King Ave, The Reverend Susan Kyser officiating. Interment Union Cemetery.
